This video is part of a tradition that stretches back all the way to 2008, when I read the first chapter of my novel Paper Towns. Since then, Hank or I have read the first chapters of seven books--from An Absolutely Remarkable Thing to The Fault in Our Stars to Will Grayson, Will Grayson. For The Anthropocene Reviewed, Rosianna and I asked Meitar Almog to make art in response to the opening chapter.
