The WWF held their King of the Ring 1999 pay per view in Greensboro, North Carolina on June 27th '99. The show features a 2-on-1 ladder match where Stone Cold Steve Austin battles both Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon for complete control of the company; the combined WWF stock was placed above the ring in a briefcase and whoever got the briefcase first would become the owner of the WWF.

Elsewhere on the show we've got a Rock vs Undertaker WWF Championship match, The Hardy Boyz taking on Edge & Christian for an opportunity to face The Acolytes for the Tag Team Championships, and the King of the Ring tournament also concludes with superstars such as X-Pac, Kane, Billy Gunn, Chyna and The Big Show.
