This is my Mercedes Vito which I have owned for 25 years. Originally white, I resprayed it Rio Verde green about 15 years ago. Decided it needed another makeover and wanted something fitting with the robot business I was involved in. So went for this Upol Raptor, textured grey. I replaced the wheels again with steels but wider than original, sprayed them black and added the original hubcaps which had to be trimmed down to fit. Added a pop of colour with the lime green seat covers and accessories.
Update 2023.
The van still looks as good today. The paints weathers really well and doesn't show dirt. It's good to keep a little of the original colour mixer, in case you need to touch up any scratches, which can be done easily with a brush and barely shows. The only part I had an issue with is the roof. The sun and rain caused some of the recessed parts to flake. Probably because I had not etched the surface enough. Don't be afraid to use a course grit when etching. It won't show through like ordinary paint.
