In this video, I will show you how to make a leather scabbard for the German M1871 bayonet. Such bayonets were used by German soldiers during the First World War, although they were already quite outdated. Unfortunately, after more than 100 years underground, the leather scabbard completely decomposes, leaving only the brass elements. Therefore, for a collector, in the absence of an original scabbard, it makes sense to equip the bayonet with a replica scabbard with original brass elements.
