In the spirit of "weird weapons", I decided to surprise Matt Easton with a 'sword breaker'. Yes I know it is not medieval, but in fact Renaissance, and some of you will think it is not that weird as most of us have seen them, but make no mistake about it, they were rare - but more importantly how were they used and what were they for?

We look at this example, chat about it, mess with it and will be coming back for a sparring video in a 'part 2'

I have looked at this before, but Matts opinions and thoughts are always worth listening to, but my first video can be found here    • Sword "Breaker" or Sword "Catcher"?

If you would like to support this channel, visiting my sites really helps as does signing up to the news letter on the websites, either one is fine

P.S. if you say "They were for breaking the attack of an opponent" or similar, can you list the source as I would love information about them from the time.
