As a technician, of course I recommend you keep tools in your RV. I also understand that maintenance and repairs just aren’t for everyone. Even if you have all of your maintenance and service done by a professional, there are some things you can’t avoid. Some things require frequent checks and adjustments. Having some of the most basic tools will make this easier. One tool that shouldn’t be left out is a torque wrench. No need to stress about it every time you move your RV, but you should be checking wheel lugs from time to time. After a wheel is removed for service or changing a flat, you’ll need to torque the lugs after driving for 50-100 miles. Of course you could just turn around and head back to the service center, but that would be extremely time consuming. if you have a tire iron or even an impact gun, you still need to torque the lugs properly. Save money on potential costly repairs, and the potential for a wheel falling off, and check those lugs from time to time. You’ll feel safer with every click!
