The peacoat. Few other coats are as timelessly cool and universally available as this military piece. Whether you decide to go the new route or the surplus route, the peacoat looks good on almost everyone and if purchased with some forethought can last generations. Always look for 100% melton or kersey wool over a synthetic/wool blend, and keep in mind the features you want in a coat since there are different variations available.
