Digital souls through the eyes of the creator. Daphne Xourafi was born and raised in Athens and is a director, illustrator and animator. She studied Communication and Media at the Kapodistrian University of Athens and graduated with an MsC in Animation & VFX in 2018 from the University of Dundee in the United Kingdom. Since then, she has worked as an animator and illustrator in Greece and abroad.
“Mine” (2022) is her first animated short film which, having won funding and support from the Hellenic Film Center and the Ministry of Culture in 2020, won 1st place at the Cannes - World Film Festival 2022. The film has been selected by festivals in Greece and abroad and continues its journey worldwide.
