Please note that although I tried my best this video can only be a rough representation of how the speakers sound relatively one to each other, depending on the quality of the recording microphone and the speakers or headphones used for playback. You need to listen to a speaker on your own to really get the best idea of how it sounds in real life.

The Soundlink III sounds a little bit more refined than the Soundlink Mini, but overall I was surprised how similar they sound at normal listening levels. Considering the big difference in size, I was expecting quite a bit more bass extension from the Soundlink III. In fact they both play down to about 60Hz. The Soundlink III can of course play louder than the Mini, so if maxium volume is important to you, you should consider the bigger one.

The speakers were recorded standing free on a table with volume set to 50% for the first recording part and standing in a shelf near a back wall with volume set to 100% for the second part.
