The very same engine that made an epic journey from Los Angeles to Chicago in 1992 again made headlines in 2023 with an excursion of 2 feet.

In actuality the locomotive was being moved forward a bit so a skate jammed between one of the drivers and the rail could be removed. This was the day prior to the engine being moved to LA Union Station for a weekend.

Even though it was only a matter of inches, this technically was 3751’s first steam powered movements of 2023 and made quite the show.
