Hey guys, Callan here. And here are your Hot Topics for the week of February 17th, 2012.

The Harlem Globetrotters are coming to the OC at the Honda Center in Anaheim this Saturday February 18th. Come and see the world's more famous basketball team, as they combine athleticism, theater and comedy for your viewing pleasure. These guys have a long standing history and its about time you saw them up in the stands. With courtside seats, you can get a commemorative team jersey, so what are you waiting for??

On Thursday February 23rd, electronica band Starfucker will be playing at the Observatory in Santa Ana. Despite their intentionally dirty name, these guys play very catchy and often upbeat music. Their stage presence is also something to watch, especially becausethe band members tend to wear some ridiculous clothing. They said they chose their name to see how far they could get with it, and trust me, these guys are still growing big, with a song featured in the new film Chronicle. So go check them out.

Also playing at the Observatory, on Friday February 24th, is indie rock band Ra Ra Riot. They've made appearances in everything from South by Southwest, to the Seaport Music Festival, as well as being nominated for an Independent Music Award. With their complex poppy arrangements, these guys have great energy on the stage, and its especially cool to see its two female members blast through their string instruments. So see them live.

Other things to do in Orange County includes Super Troopers, to Club Dread, to Beerfest, the five hilarious guys that make up the comedy troupe Broken Lizard is coming to the Brea Improv everyday starting Friday February 17th through Sunday February 19th. Starting together all the way back in 1990 at Colgate University, these guys know their comedy. Put them all together in a room, they become unstoppable and a must see on stage.
