It's Tuesday friends which means its Talk Marketing which means we have a gust for you and today's guest is Zack Perdue.

We have spoken quite a bit recently about AI and not in the most positive terms so I thought what I would do is bring in the most digitally enthusiastic people I know and this is that conversation.

If you are wondering how to leverage AI to have a more productive work life and a better life generally you are going to enjoy this one :)

Martin Henley : [00:00:00] So if you are tuning in as this goes live, it will be a Tuesday, which means it's talk marketing, which means we have a guest for you. So today's guest has software and web architecture experience going back to 2010. He also has four years sales and marketing experience. When he was VP of sales and Marketing with Ziggity Creative. He has also run his own business, Nouvelle Naturals, for more than three years. But mainly he has spent more than ten years helping companies succeed with technology. He has most recently been chief technology officer with Unicorn and is busy now launching his brand new business. What you may not know about him is that he is now a licensed pilot and has been since November of last year. Today's guest is Zach Perdu. Good evening, Zach. Yeah, So it sounds to me then, like your specialist subject is going to be using technology to help companies succeed with their marketing. Could we say that's your specialist subject?

Zack Perdue: [00:01:03] Yeah. Um, anything along the lines of implementing technology? I've got a broad range of skills that I've acquired over the years, like literally implementing code from scratch. You know, if you need like a login system, customize to your liking. I can do that. Um, that integrates with marketing platforms HubSpot, MailChimp, Klaviyo, you know, all these things. So I've, you know, I have a lot of experience integrating the nuts and bolts of all of these strategies that people use. Um, not, not the Wizzywig builder stuff, but the actual low level code software, backend stuff, connecting systems and integrations.

Martin Henley : [00:01:51] Excellent. Okay, cool. So then what what I'm interested to do today because like I was saying to you before is I've spoken quite a lot on this channel about AI, and over the two years that I've been recording these things and posting these things. And as it's evolved, it seems to me like it's exploded onto the scene in like the last 3 or 4 months. It went from nowhere. Like literally beginning of December. Chatgpt was launched maybe a couple of weeks before that. Um, what's it called? Half Journey. Life Journey Part journey. Mid journey, mid journey. Um, maybe a month before that mid journey actually started to be usable. But I don't have the, the most positive outlook. So what I'm probably interested to do is make your subject if we can, um, using technology to help companies with their sales and marketing with a particular focus on this explosion in this new opportunity, which is AI now, and I understand it's probably more about how you see it happening rather than. What has happened because it's brand new. Does that make sense?

Zack Perdue: [00:03:01] Absolutely.

Martin Henley : [00:03:02] All right. Super cool. So the five questions then are first question, how are you qualified to talk to us about leveraging technology to help businesses with their sales and marketing? That will be question one. Question two will be who are you looking to work with and how are you going to be adding value in their lives, hopefully with this new technology? The third question is what's your recommendation for people who want to get better at leveraging these new technologies to help them with their sales and marketing? Fourth question is what should people read? Fifth question is who can you throw under the bus? Who might endure or maybe even enjoy to have a conversation like this with me? So the first question then is how are you qualified to talk to us about leveraging technology to help businesses in their sales and marketing?

Zack Perdue: [00:03:45] How am I qualified? Well. Besides my years of experience implementing all of these things, I use them daily in my own businesses. Over the years, I've started a few websites of my own and, you know, trial and error. Really? Um, reading tons of books. Trial and error. Finding out what works, what doesn't. And, um. You know, throwing out what doesn't work.

Speaker3: [00:04:21] Okay, Good.

Martin Henley : [00:04:23] Excellent. Right. So I feel this is this what we say? Is this what young people say? Because I was a lecturer in the noughties when I was running my business properly, the effective marketing company from 2005 to about 2014, this is what we were doing, we were banging our heads against the wall until it was bloody getting everything working, email, websites, PPC campaigns, like all of these things, because there wasn't really at that point a guide.
