Alma Gomez grew up in the Imperial Valley, but her family had no connection to the farming industry there. It wasn't until she was in community college that she learned how much you could do in agriculture. She is majoring in agribusiness and food industry management at Cal Poly Pomona with the goal of returning home to start a business.
