All copper piping in California is failing.

The Uponor Pex A System was invented in 1968 and was realised by the public safety testing facility for public use in 1970 in Europe.
Oddly enough This is the same time that Copper pipe in Single family and Multi Family properties began to replace Galvanized as the Standard for both Single Family and Multi family Potable Water delivery systems.
Copper
1) The US Copper Pipe Manufactures have always advertised that there product is 99.9 percent pure copper. Long Lasting copper tube is a favorite choice for Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, DWV. Contractors. that is what they will tell you! So What is Missing??????
2) The US Copper Pipe Manufactures Will advertise that the pipe has to be 99.9 percent pure to meet the the new ASTM International Standards
3) So What is the PROBLEM?????????
4) (USA Made Copper Pipe and fittings Do Not Meet The New ASTM International Safty Standards!!!!!!!!!!!!)
5) They Imply everywhere that it (does) but the truth is they are running a misleading advertising campaign. THEY DO NOT MEET NEW ASTM INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS
6) So Why Are The Copper manufactures allowed to intentional mislead the public!!!!!!!!
7) They sent lobbyists to Congress and got an (Exemption from Disclosure laws)
8) They are not required to disclose that they use ground up recycled copper material in all New Copper Pipe and Fittings manufactured in the USA today!!!!!!
9)They are also Not Required to Disclose the Percentage of Recycled Material used in USA Manufactured Copper Pipe and Fittings today!!!!
10) They are NOT EVEN REQUIRED TO DISCLOSE ALL USA FITTINGS ARE MADE IN MEXICO
Uponor Pex A
PEX piping is preferred by plumbers for potable water in new home construction due to its ease
of installation.
PEX is cross-linked (crosslink is abbreviated X-linked and is what the X stands for in PEX) high
density polyethylene (HDPE). Crosslinking improves the creep resistance of HDPE. There are
three types of processes used to x-link HDPE. The three processes are:
A = HDPE + peroxide + heat
B = HDPE + silane + humidity
C = HDPE + electron beam irradiation
All PEX must be labeled with a Tubing Material Designation Code - PEX xxxx. The First Digit in
the material designation code is for chlorine resistance tested in accordance with ASTM F2023.
A digit 5 indicates the PEX tubing has been tested and meets the requirements for minimum
chlorine resistance at end-use conditions 100% of the time at 140°F (60°C). A 5 digit is the
highest classification for chlorine resistance. A 3 digit indicates the PEX tubing has been tested
and meets the requirements for minimum chlorine resistance at end-use conditions 50% of the
time at 140°F (60°C). A 1 digit indicates the PEX tubing has been tested and meets the
requirements for minimum chlorine resistance at end-use conditions 25% of the time at 140°F
(60°C).
The second digit is for demonstrated UV resistance of PEX material when tested in accordance
with ASTM F2657. A digit of 1 indicates the PEX tubing has a UV resistance of 30 days; a digit of 2 has a UV resistance of 60 days.
ProPEX vs. Other
PEX Insert Fittings
• Larger internal diameter of
ProPEX means a 25% greater flow rate.
• ProPEX cold-expansion makes it impossible to overlook a connection, eliminating the problem of blow offs from dry-fit connections. Visual connection of ProPEX also means no calibration is required.
• Proven for more than 15 years, ProPEX Engineered Plastic (EP) Fittings have a more cost-effective and stable price than metal insert fittings.
• ProPEX works well in cold weather, especially with the built-in, auto-rotation mechanism on the new Milwaukee® M12™ and M18™
ProPEX Expansion Tools.
• ProPEX works with the properties of Uponor PEX tubing; clamp, crimp and press fittings fight the tubing’s elastic memory. Milwaukee® M12™ and M18™ ProPEX
Expansion Tools
• Built-in auto rotation for effortless, one-handed use, eliminating cold-weather installation concerns
• Quick-cam mechanism for fast, continuous expansion
