Not all science fiction films eventually become throwbacks, and often the predictions they make are hilariously misguided. We looked at some of the best sci-fi movies in history to see what kinds of predictions they made about technology.

Whilst working on this, all we had on our minds was the quote by Charles Holland Duell in 1902 and I quote “everything that can be invented has been invented”. It's amazing movie studios don't believe this quote and for the right reasons too! This is why we think movies like ready player 1, Inception, Tenet, Interstellar, ex machine, looper and more will be throwbacks for future technology.
