Feel like you know Ken and Dorothy from Sandfire Roadhouse?

Chances are that if you’ve travelled to Broome in WA’s north, you’ve stopped at Sandfire Roadhouse, roughly half way between Port Hedland and Broome.

Sandfire hosted the 2021 Kimberley Pilbara Cattlemen’s Association Livestock Handling Cup, and while Neil Earl was up at the event sponsoring with Tony O’Neill, he caught up with Ken Norton and Dorothy Taylor owner/managers of the Sandfire Roadhouse.

From nuggety station stallions to slow customers and roadhouse fires, Ken and Dorothy take 15 minutes to give us a glimpse into roadhouse life.
