I'm a simple man, I like 2d Mario. But the series has been in a never-ending drought of stagnancy since the New Super Mario bros series started in 2006 and ended in 2012 with New Super Mario bros U. Since then, it's just been Mario Maker and re-releases of past 2d Mario games that have been fueling the series. But nothing that is wholly NEW. So, before the February Nintendo direct rolls around and proves this video irrelevant. I want to suggest how 2d Mario can be fixed by adding new things and taking notes from other games like the 3d Mario games and Donkey Kong?
