Hello and welcome to this video!

In this video I teach you how to play along with a metronome.

This is what I’d typically teach a complete beginner in their second session with me.

You’ll improve your technique and timing from this lesson.

Keeping the beat is the drummers most important job, timing is everything! It doesn’t matter if it’s a slow song or a fast song, we’re there to keep the pulse (a fancy word for tempo, or speed!).

All you need is a pair of sticks to join in with me at home. Even if you don’t have sticks you could tap the beat with your hands.

I’m using the Pro-Metronome App which is available to download onto your phone and tablet etc. Or you could a Google search ‘metronome’ and one is available to use on there for free.
