MEGAN BANNERMAN

A featured lead vocalist who served at the "Calvary Chapel of Capistrano Beach" in Dana Point, CA during the early 1990's season, Megan's key role in "The Celebrations Singers" was that of female group vocalist in the Mezzo Soprano/1st Alto range. Here, she is featured on solo vocal, supported by Scott Brenner on keyboards, performing "You Called Me Friend".

"YOU CALLED ME FRIEND"

With music & lyrics written by Harry Browning, husband of Laury Boone; sister of Debby Boone; "You Called Me Friend" was originally arranged & recorded at the time when Harry & Laury were well involved with the "Kansas City Fellowship Congregation" of Missouri. Messianic-influenced style keyboardist Marty Goetz supplied the incredible grand piano to this remarkable lullaby of a song, while the mysterious sounding "recorder" woodwind instrument, was performed by Steve Gelbart.
