Bill Crudup's father had a big influence on him and yet he never knew much of his father's family history. Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. and Billy discover stories that we never passed down including his ancestors' roles during the Civil War.

Equally memorable on the stage and screen, Billy Crudup has earned critical accolades for his performances. Currently, he stars as Corey Ellison in Apple’s Golden-Globe nominated The Morning Show alongside Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carrell, which earned him an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, as well as two Screen Actors Guild Award nominations.
