This beautiful old place began as a large house built sometime around 1860 for a newly married couple. After they passed away the home was expanded in the late 1800’s between 1890-1900 and given large two story wings connected to the main house. It was then converted into a resort of some sorts until the early 1930’s when it switched owners again. This time it would become a military training academy which lasted until the 1960’s. After which I couldn’t find much more history about it. Possibly becoming a private residence or apartments for a time before ending up vacant in the 1980’s. After sitting for many decades now the house and land are for sale for 7.2 million dollars shockingly but it sits in a very busy commercial area and has a lot of acres included. Im sure the price is more just for the land and development potential, not the crumbling mansion which would need millions to be saved. Glad to have documented this historic old place in its final days before it’s gone. Thank you for watching.
