Several weeks ago, as a bit of fun, I asked ChatGPT to write some lyrics in the style of HIM. And it kindly obliged. Then I asked if it could provide me with some chords. And again it kindly obliged. When I picked up the guitar, a few minutes later, in bed oddly, the simple but catchy melody wrote itself.

And then I forgot about it until yesterday when I decided to try adding a key change and introducing some variation to the verses by varying the strumming styles.

This isn't a perfect take - the key change is a pain because it's unannounced! - but it was tremendously good fun to do and I think that shows. Perhaps I'll continue to work on it and get it into electric form with some drums.

But anyway, all good fun. Although I've now given myself an earworm. Grrrr.
