At some point boarding #acrossthespiderverse I saw a news item on restoring silent movies and there were these great clips where the nitrate film stock had deteriorated and warped the images. There was footage of a boxer throwing punches that I rotoscoped to replace him with a Spiderman trying to fight one of Spot's portals which made him fight himself! Then there was a scientist-looking chap with wild distortions in the emulsion that suggested this guy could be haunted by Spot! I just did this for fun but it informed the scenes I worked on.
