Hi, my name is Clare. Welcome to The Farmyard Garden.

I garden at home on our farm in Staffordshire, UK. (Zone 8b I believe). My vegetable garden comprises of a 250 sq metre formal home allotment style plot, which is my kitchen garden, plus additional vegetable growing areas on our main home garden.

I have a 20 x 12ft polytunnel and two 8x6ft greenhouses.

In this episode I manage to tick off lots of spring jobs. I plant out my second batch of peas (paco), discuss how to plant my Oca tubers, plant my Boxing Day sown onion seedlings out, plant foxgloves in the cottage garden area, plant out my sweet peas and build a bean structure and a little sweet pea wigwam.

My spring cabbages have all gone to seed, and are being decimated by slugs, so they need removing and Duncan has a slight issue with a tractor on the farmyard.
