Completing the square is an ancient and beautiful piece of mathematics that is mostly distilled down into an algorithm in HS mathematics courses. In this video I will show you how, over 4000 years ago, the Babylonians were able to solve quadratic problems with only a picture and a story! I'll share that story with you, and demonstrate how you can solve modern quadratics using the same story and picture they did. We'll even use it to develop the quadratic formula from scratch! Learn this story and say goodbye to memorization.
