“One Summer’s Day” is originally from from Hayao Miyazaki’ Studio Ghibli favourite Spirited Away and is taken from Joe Hisaishi’s new album “A Symphonic Celebration” which includes Merry-Go-Round of Life, One Summer’s Day, Princess Mononoke, Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea, My Neighbor Totoro and more and his first collaboration with Deutsche Grammophon.
Recorded in London with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by the composer, the track is newly arranged by Hisaishi for symphony orchestra.
