Amtrak California Zephyr and Union Pacific trains passing through the famed Donner Pass in Summer 2023. First time for me shooting in this area... it's absolutely gorgeous and quite impressive to see how the railroad navigates through the rugged Sierra Nevada mountains.

I got a handful of trains, mainly went out to shoot the typical 4-5 hour late California Zephyrs. The Union Pacific traffic was very slow unfortunately, however I did get some passings of the MOW equipment rocking some Nathan P3 horns!

Also I was able to catch a 3 hour late Amtrak #6 transporting a couple brand new ALC-42s East to Chicago.
