A Victorian mistress murders her lover’s children by another woman when he spends the night with a prostitute. If you thought love triangles were bad, wait until you meet this deadly Love Quadrangle! The mistress, Harriet Parker, was arrested, faces murder trial at the Old Bailey, and is then executed outside Newgate Prison in London in front of a large crowd of jeering onlookers.

Harriet Parker was more than a Victorian Murderer, she was an ordinary person who became an extraordinary killer. Her lover, Robert Blake leaves his wife and moves to London with his two small children to live with his mistress. In a dramatic 1847 New Year’s Eve and a deadly 1848 New Year’s Day Harriet kills Robert’s children, after her ditches her in a bar and spends the night with a prostitute. The crazy interesting is in the details of Harriet’s mindset, and her behavior before and after the murders.

Chilling letters penned by the killer, multiple murder driven by ironic motives, a murder trial at the Od Bailey, and the brutality of Victorian justice make Harriet’s tale more than an interesting true crime documentary, its a look at the true complexities Beyond Evil in Women Who Kill.
