About Laura: Winner of the 2023 Austin Woman’s Magazine Woman’s Way Award, one of our members, Attorney Laura Ramos James is one of the most recognized Lawyers in Texas and a local Entrepreneur who has grown her business throughout the State and supported the Hispanic community in Austin for several years.

Her Personal Injury Law Firm, Ramos James Law, headquartered in Austin, is proud to represent injury victims in cases of serious injury and death, with a special ability to serve the Spanish-speaking community in Texas. As part of its legal services to the community, Ramos James Law offers non-profit services in special cases and has provided free services since its inception.

Born and raised in Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico, Laura came to the United States with very basic knowledge of the English language and no business experience, but a relentless determination to achieve her dreams. A personal injury victim herself, Laura dreamed of one day being able to be loud and fierce voice of those who could not speak on their own behalf in court. After graduating law school at Baylor Law with honors, Laura began the arduous professional path that culminated in the founding of Ramos James Law in 2018.
