For Exploited Club, Alex Medina rolls out 'Ayy Paapi'; a truly singular soundclash that bumps like House and glistens like an Italo whilst also exuding the moxie of Reggaeton.

Being Spanish born, Medina sought to incorporate his mother tongue into his music. He was motivated by 'the excitement of flirting with some Reggaeton vibes and bringing them to the next level of modern electronic music'.

Speaking about the specific inspiration behind the vocals, he says 'Ayy Paapi was born on a family holiday with my little daughter Gala calling me papi, papi papi all the time..so I decided to use Spanish Reggaeton vocals to represent my mood as a father‘.

The title track kicks things off; melodies sway through bitter-sweet cycles while a reverberated signal roars out with a gripping power. Sequences, fx and the vocal refrain continue to build an esoteric braid that's guaranteed to linger in the mind long after the parties over.
