Ten years ago, a phenomenon known as "the Gate" emerged, bridging the gap between the ordinary world and a realm teeming with magic and monstrous creatures. In response to this threat, regular individuals were bestowed with extraordinary abilities, earning them the title of "Hunters." Among them is Sung Jin-Woo, a twenty-year-old Hunter labeled as the "World's Weakest" due to his meager powers, even falling short of the lowest E-Rank. Despite this, he dedicates himself to hunting down monsters in lesser Gates to support his mother's medical expenses.

Jin-Woo's mundane existence takes a dramatic turn when, after a mission gone awry where he believes he is the sole survivor, he awakens in a hospital three days later to discover a peculiar floating screen before him. This interface, known as the "Quest Log," presents Jin-Woo with a daunting training regimen, warning of consequences for failure. Initially hesitant to undertake the demanding quest, Jin-Woo soon realizes that completing it could elevate him from his status as the weakest Hunter to one of the most formidable in the world.
