August 25, 2022 -- This video has been re-cut/trimmed to avoid being blocked. Here's Part 2 of the video:    • Bran's Plan to Beat the Night King (G...

Before he was a Three-Eyed Raven, Bran couldn't control his abilities yet. But once he became that magical being, he learned every scenario, every movement of the characters (some were hard to see, like Arya's destination), and gather every information so he could defeat a powerful Sightseer, the Night King.

Both of them have the power of the Sight, and can calculate every move and out-think each other. The two are basically playing chess.

I tried to compile all the evidence of Bran planning and maneuvering every piece to finally checkmate the Night King...

Intro - Melisandre and her visions: 00:00
I. Finding the Night King's Weakness: 04:57
* Bran went deeper all the way back many centuries ago to see the creation of the Night King. He then gathered every info about its weakness, including the death of the White Walkers, based on the experiences of the other characters (like Jon at Hardhome, Sam at beyond the wall, and the wight expedition).

II. The Weapon: 11:13
* Bran knew Valyrian steel can kill the White Walkers, and with the help and knowledge of Benjen and Beric's hypothesis on how to kill the Night King ("Kill him, he turned them all"), he gathered every info about the Valyrian steel swords, but realized a dagger is more effective than long swords.

III. The Sacrifice: 12:42
* Bran saw that in order to trick or distract the Night King, there must be a great sacrifice. He knew Theon will come back to redeem himself and protect Bran, but the past crimes of Theon was hard to forgive (like killing Ser Rodrik and the orphans, killed by Dagmer), so he chose or hinted Theon to be the one to confront the Night King, which he knew Theon was ready to die protecting him.

IV. Gathering the Army: 19:37
* Bran knew that without an army, it would be difficult to slow down the army of the dead, so he saw an opportunity, by way of Jon and Daenerys, of having an army, through visions of the fire, or just by knowing Jon and Tyrion (and many characters through his visions) that they would never give up defending humanity. That's why Tyrion wanted to show Cersei a dead wight, so there's a chance to band together and fight the greatest and deadliest army.

V. The Assassin: 24:42
* Bran must pick the perfect assassin or killer. He must have chosen so many contenders, but knew that the only chance to really kill the Night King would be a stab in the back, based on the Arthur Dayne vs Ned Stark fight.

Bran thought Arya would go to King's Landing, but was shocked she came back to Winterfell. This was the perfect opportunity for Bran, knowing the Night King had probably missed seeing Arya too returning to Winterfell, so he gave Arya the dagger, without telling her the purpose.

With the help of Melisandre and her visions, she reminded Arya what was the real purpose, which made Arya quickly understood the importance of her journey and training, and then solidified it even more after she recalled the saying, "What do we say to the god of death?"

END. Always make your foes confused... They can't know what plan you do next.
