Clarification:
In the video I mention how a gigabyte has 1024 megabytes. There is a distinction between the metric gigabyte and the binary gibibyte, however the metric version is what is still used and referred to by the average person (who is also the audience for this video) and for commercial purposes when it comes to storage devices, effectively maintaining the discrepancy to this day.
