Harry Potter is one of the biggest book and film franchises of all time, and over the course of such a long story, you better believe I found some medical scenes to react to. We look at scenes from The Sorcerer’s Stone (The Philosopher’s Stone for my UK friends), The Chamber of Secrets, The Prisoner of Azkaban, The Goblet of Fire, The Order Of The Phoenix, The Half Blood Prince, and The Deathly Hallows. Between Harry, Ron, Hermione, Hagrid, Snape, Dumbledore, Dobby, Belatrix, Malfoy, Neville, and Voldemort himself, there was plenty of medical criticism to go around. Specifically we talk about Harry’s scar, Z-plasty, salmonella, broken wrists, concussions, trauma, quidditch accidents, broom falls, Phoenix tears, gillyweed, holding your breath, the bends, bleeding out, vaping, drawing blood, chest compressions, and even splinching!
