Apple discontinued the 17 inch MacBook Pro in 2012 without giving it the final upgrade that the Unibody MacBook Pro got- the coveted Mid 2012. Many fans of the 17 inch MacBook Pro have long decried it's demise right before such an iconic upgrade that could have given it a much longer lifespan! The final 2011 17 inches were crippled by graphics card defects and were limited by slow USB, wifi, Bluetooth, and performance. Fortunately, Dosdude1 doesn't play by the rules. He decided to build the world's first ever (and only) 17 inch Mid 2012 MacBook Pro. Today he'll show us through the process of creating this extraordinary custom built MacBook Pro!
