While Thor: Love & Thunder's ending seems to suggest that the next story for Thor would be a revenge story putting him in the crosshair of Brett Goldstein's Hercules, Siege makes a lot of sense as the main storyline for Thor 5. As already established, Secret Invasion's ending sees the US government unwittingly sanctioning anti-alien sentiment and vigilanteism after the Skrull invasion is uncovered. It's impossible to think that won't impact the settlement of aliens currently residing in Norway, or even all superpowered individuals (and mutants) as the MCU progresses.

On top of that, the very idea of Thor's people coming to Earth to live wouldn't upset some of the resident population, given the fact that the Avengers saving Earth in the Battle of New York wasn't enough to stop people fearing superheroes. Then there's the question of Sentry, who is heavily rumored to appear in Thunderbolts, and played a key role in the destruction of New Asgard in Siege. And even the Thunderbolts themselves could stand in as the MCU's Dark Avengers to lead to fight against the Asgardians and the Avengers. The pieces are all there, with Loki's call-out to Broxton offering further color. It all just needs to come together for Thor 5.
