In the Free State, Deputy Police Commissioner Solly Lesia has refuted accusations of corruption and misuse of authority.

Lesia was questioned at the Bloemfontein Magistrates' Court during the trial involving whistleblower Patricia Morgan-Mashale and her husband, George.

The couple was charged with violating a harassment order issued against Lesia due to the sharing of WhatsApp messages that he alleges tarnished his reputation.
