2 Cycle Engine Bogs Down / Chokes Out - Fuel Tank Vents - How They Work & How to Clean Them. Is your 2 stroke engine running poorly?... It may be a simple fix by cleaning or replacing your fuel vent.
If your string trimmer, hedge trimmer, blower, chainsaw or other 2 cycle equipment has no power and seems to choke out or has trouble throttling up (bogs down) or only runs on choke, you may have a clogged fuel vent.
In this video you will learn how to diagnose and fix 2 cycle engine fuel vent problems. This is a very common problem with some 2 cycle engines and instead of waiting on an order for a new fuel tank vent or having to run out and buy one at your local small engine store, I will show you how you can take them apart and clean them. This repair is especially a problem with Echo and Stihl equipment.
