Phoenix Suns coach Frank Vogel meets with the media following the Suns (45-31) second-straight blowout win, a 122-101 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers (46-31). Phoenix moves to sixth place in the West for the first time since March 24 with only six games left.
Coming off a 52-point performance against the Pelicans, Devin Booker stayed hot, totalling 40 points and eight assists against Cleveland.
Kevin Durant finished with 32 points, seven rebounds and six assists. This was the second game this season where both have scored 30 or more.
Phoenix started slow, but then blew the game open midway through the first quarter, leading 72-47 at halftime.
The Cavaliers then came back a little bit to start the third before Booker and Durant scored all but three of the Suns’ 26 third quarter points to build a 21-point lead and carry it all the way to victory.
Durant and Booker were far from the only players to contribute big tonight, as Vogel highlighted Royce O’Neale, Bol Bol and Eric Gordon as the others.
Full stats (via Suns):
Booker: 40 PTS, 8 AST, 1 REB, 1 STL
