'Stainless' is one of the metals that are used a lot in our daily lives.
Then how is it that this metal can be transformed into spoons, chopsticks, pots, thermos, and more?
In Ansan-si of Gyeonggi-do, the workers of a special metal factory start their work early in the morning, fighting 2,730°F. They must wear sunglasses and heat-proof clothes to prevent injuries from sparks.
Once the dissolution work is over, the ingot of stainless then proceeds to further processing works, such as forging and rolling.
After this primary processing, there's a kitchenware factory that receives sheets of stainless to make 1,200 pressure cookers a day.
Although it looks like the machine is doing all the work, there are about 30 processes that need to go through, and it's said that it requires a lot of sensitive human touch.
As the noises from the machine fill up the factory, it's a must for the workers to have earmuffs on all day.
Let's go and see how these people do a little magic to keep it warm for the cold winter.
