The Japan Mobility Show 2023 was simply amazing. We got to see some of the new cars that we can expect from automakers like Toyota and Suzuki. And might we say that we are in for a very great treat. All these new cars that are coming up will be unlike any others. They will all come with the latest technology, and most of them will start shifting to hybrid and plug-in powertrains. One car that was a highlight of the show was the 2024 Suzuki Swift. It may be a small car, but it is pretty powerful. And given that Suzuki is slowly adapting new technology, this one comes packed with it. But what exactly does the 2024 Suzuki Swift have to offer? Let's find out, shall we?

And with that, what about the 2024 Suzuki Swift that got everyone's attention?
Suzuki showcased a lot of cars during the Japan Mobility Show 2023. But one of the highlights from the automaker's lineup was the new Swift. And even though it was just a concept, the model that was showcased is probably the one that's going to be taken to production. The production of the 2024 Suzuki Swift is scheduled to start sometime in 2024.
The current version of Swift was launched in late 2016. However, in 2020, the automaker decided to give it a minor facelift, just to make it look better. With this, they made it ready for a significant overhaul. The new generation of the Swift still has some distinctive design elements from its predecessor, making sure that it maintains its size and proportions. However, the entire bodywork has also been revamped to enhance aerodynamics and make it even more economical.
The new Suzuki Swift has an updated look, and it looks pretty great. At the front, there is a slightly smaller honeycomb grille compared to the one on its predecessor. The Suzuki logo has also been changed, and it is now positioned beneath the clamshell hood. The headlights complement the new design of the hood and the grille, sporting a fresh design with LED accents. To top it all off, Suzuki added a more subtle bumper intake that has been accented with aluminum-style trim.
Everything in the car has been upgraded, including the steering wheel. Now, the steering wheel comes with integrated buttons, which have been carried over from other models in the Suzuki lineup. To give it a bit of class, Suzuki has also revised the climate controls, changing them from rotatable dials to toggle switches. And from the look of things, it does look much better.
You don't expect a car to have all this technology and not have other features, especially those focused on safety. The new Suzuki Swift is packed with lots of ADAS, especially in some markets, such as Europe and Japan. However, the Swift in India is not really fitted with a lot of ADAS features. This new Swift will follow along the same lines. The new generation will come with an improved collision mitigation system, which Suzuki has called "Dual Sensor Brake Support II." This one will be fitted with driver monitoring and adaptive high beam systems, all of which make it one of the best driving experiences you will ever have in a budget-oriented car.
The 2024 Suzuki Swift comes packed with a lot of features, even for a budget-oriented car. And even when it comes to size, it is a pretty compact car. It measures 3,860 mm in length, 1,695 mm wide, and 1,500 mm tall. In addition, it comes with a wheelbase of 2,450 mm.
Alongside the electrified version, there are hopes of seeing an ICE-only variant, especially for the market in India. Furthermore, there have been rumors that there might also be a strong hybrid version, which could find a place in the European market.
Even though the automaker claims that the car they showcased at the show was just a concept, there is a very high likelihood that we will see it in production. We can expect an identical, if not with very few changes, production-spec 2024 Suzuki Swift to be unveiled in Japan before the year ends. So far, we already know that Suzuki will be releasing an updated version of the existing Swift Sport in Japan. This will be the 2024 model year. This means that the hot hatch version of the new generation will likely arrive just in time for the 2025 MY.
