This little thing was on my list for quite a long time. Everytime I use my four jaw chuck I have to deal with sharp bite marks from the chuck. Especially on soft materials like aluminium this is a real problem. It is quite common to have some sheet metal jaw protectors which get between the chuck jaws and the workpiece to prevent the workpiece from bite marks. So now it is time to make my own ones from a piece of copper sheet metal 17mm wide and 0,5mm thick.
