Ever since his rookie year, Quickley has been my favorite player in the whole league. There was something about seeing this late draft pick shock everyone that was so cool. His energy, his playstyle, the way he improved every year, everything about it was so fun as a fan. I knew he would be traded at some point because he's been in trade talks for so long and he didn't get paid over the offseason, but it just felt so fast. Ever since I saw this guy play for us in 2020-2021, I just knew he was gonna be good. He just seemed like a guy who genuinely loved basketball more than anyone. He never complained to refs/teammates, never got angry, and just helped us win. From his first few games, to the Hawks series, to the Celtics game, to this year, I've appreciated every moment of seeing him play. One of my favorite things about being an NBA fan is seeing young guys improve, and in the span of 5 months, IQ, Obi, and RJ are all gone. Wishing all three the best of luck on their new teams.
