WGA members picketed Warner Bros. Discovery President & CEO David Zaslav outside Boston University’s commencement on Sunday, May 21, 2023, where Zaslav was honored as commencement speaker.

Inside the ceremony, chants of "Pay your writers," and "No contract, no speech," rained down from students who celebrated their graduation by standing with striking writers.
