Mesa, Arizona native Kellen Mills, a former Arizona State football player and 2002 football state champion at Mountain View High School, returns to Phoenix Raceway as the jackman for Erik Jones and the #43 Legacy Motor Club Toyota in the NASCAR Cup Series. Mills found his way from the field to the gym to the pits thanks to his college strength coach who helped recruit him to a new sport. He’s one of many former college athletes finding their way onto NASCAR pit crews thanks to efforts by people like Chris Hall, Director of Pit Crew Operations at LMC.
