In this video a share a few things I have learned over the past year using an axe. Up until this time last year I had never used an axe before. I want to thank everyone in the axe community for being so welcoming and helpful along the way. I have learned so much from everyone and from many different channels and I am happy to be part of this great community / axe cord wood challenge. I have learned so much and continue to learn more every time I go out in the woods and chop, this is my happy place. With that being said I think I owe Steven Edholm from the YouTube channel @SkillCult a very, very big thank for taking the time to share his invaluable knowledge for all of us to consume, practice, and share. Without Steve I may have never (Steve Edholm joke “never say never and always or always never say never”) picked up an axe if I had not accidentally stumbled across his “make it chop videos”. After watching his video I now was completely consumed with a new interest and of course binge watched a bunch more of his videos. This chain of events led me to find out about the axe cord wood challenge and I knew I needed an axe and wanted to be part of this. After learning Steve had passed the torch to @benscottwoodchopper and then Ben had passed it on to @KevinsDisobedience. Naturally I watched a ton of both of their videos and learned a bunch more. I am naturally a shy person and would never think to put myself in front of a camera and especially posting it on YouTube, yet here I am and I’m extremely happy to be here sharing things I’ve learned from these 3 great people and my own personal experience. So thank you all again so much for watching and supporting my channel and a huge thank you to Steve, Ben, and Kevin, you are all amazing and I am blessed to have you all as my mentors !!!
