When choosing the right Continuum model for your truck and trailer setup, you will want to check the style of your trailer coupler. The most common is a standard (or overslung coupler) that attaches to the top of the trailer frame. Less common are underslung (also known as inverted) couplers. Underslung couplers are welded to the bottom side of the trailer frame rails, resulting in a lower position on the frame.

In regards to the Continuum Weight Distribution Hitch, an underslung coupler will require an additional extension bracket that pins to the top of the hydraulic cylinder.

Standard Coupler/ Overslung Couplers | Couplers that are above the trailer frame OR less than 2.5" below the frame do NOT require the additional bracket.
Compatible Continuum Models include:
WDHK4500 | 2" shank, 2 5/16" ball, standard coupler
WDHK4502 | 2.5" shank, 2 5/16" ball, standard coupler

Underslung | Couplers that are more than 2.5" BELOW the trailer frame will require an extension bracket.
Compatible Continuum Models include:
WDHK4501 | 2" shank, 2 5/16" ball, underslung coupler
WDHK4503 | 2.5" shank, 2 5/16" ball, underslung coupler
