The best of men are those who are most beneficial to people, and Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was the best of mankind, who always helped, facilitated, and benefited others.

Do you remember the hadith about the Prophet ﷺ receiving the first Revelation while he was in the cave of Hira? He ﷺ became so terrified from the event, that he ran back to his wife, Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her), and told everything that had happened. Then he ﷺ said: “I fear that something may happen to me.” But Khadijah said: “Never! By Allah, Allah will never disgrace you.”

🔵 What was the reason behind Khadijah’s confidence that Allah would never disgrace the Prophet ﷺ? One of the reasons she gave was: ❛(Because) you (ﷺ) assist people whenever there is a good cause.❜ [Sahih al-Bukhari 4953]

Even before Prophethood, he ﷺ was known to always help others. And after Prophethood, he brought even many more benefits to the people. During the battle of Khandaq, when the Muslims were digging the trench as their defense strategy, the Prophet ﷺ too was there, doing the same. He ﷺ contributed and dug so much that dusts had fully covered his whole body. [Sahih al-Bukhari 4104]

🔵 And Allah says: ❛Cooperate with one another in goodness and righteousness, and do not cooperate in sin and transgression.❜ [Surah al-Ma’idah 5 : 2]

The Prophet ﷺ truly lived by the Qur’an, and so too must we. Allah commands us to work together upon the truth, and to steer clear from collaborating on something that is sinful and upon transgressions. True unity happens only when we unite upon the truth. May Allah guide us, and unite our hearts upon the truth.
