I had the chance to get an early look at next year's electric Mini Cooper JCW - this is the first John Cooper Works-badged EV ever. This is a car that will be built in China on an all-new platform that BMW co-developed with its joint venture partner Great Wall Motors. Two battery pack sizes will be on offer for the first time in an electric Mini, and both are larger than what the current Mini SE has. The car may look almost identical to the outgoing model, yet the more you look at it, the more you see its subtly different (and better) proportions. The biggest changes have been made inside the vehicle where various types of knitted synthetic materials dramatically change the ambiance compared to any previous Mini generation.
