The Adam Project brings all the heart, action, and special effects we could want, so how did the whole world come together? The performances, special guests, and practical builds made major impacts in building what would become the backdrop for this heart-warming film.
One of the best parts of the movie is newcomer Walker Scobell who gave Ryan Reynolds a run for his money with his oh-so-natural improv skills. The young actor was even able to recite a Reynolds classic at the drop of a hat - Reynolds definitely met his match! Scobell had a lot of experiences being on set for his first film, including losing a whopping four teeth in some way or another. One tooth actually came out in the middle of a take! While Scobell often steals the scene, when this special pup was in the frame, it was hard to look away. Adam’s pup was none other than Birdie the golden retriever - which actor did this dog belong to!?
Adam’s family home was one for the books - being built from the ground up in just two months in a soundstage - which nature feature was a whopping twenty-five feet tall?
Zoe Saldaña was eager to jump on board and join the movie, but filming the pandemic made her weary - fortunately, the team had the best protocols in place. That also meant the actress spent over half her time on set in quarantine - filming for less than a full week's worth!
There are deleted scenes, raw audition footage, and a scene that went wrong over and over again - all just a part of the adventure of bringing this special flick to the screen.
